I met Bret and Rachel at one of my favorite restaurant jobs I don't even know how many years ago. Back then, it was late nights and a lot of fun, but we all grow up, and it's been amazing watching their love grow through the ups and downs of life. It was such an honor to be a part of their beautiful wedding day, and I can't wait to see what's in store for these two as their story is only just beginning!
Lets get this day started!

The day kicked off hot and sunny as Bret and Rachel started prepping for their big day. Rachel was surrounded by her bridesmaids, while Bret was cracking open beers and jokes with his groomsmen in the Lageret's getting ready spots. Like many couples these days, they decided to have a first look after getting their suits, dresses, hair, and makeup just right. They each wrote personal vows, and I was trying not to tear up in the background. I like to keep a good distance while photographing personal vows, I aim for the couple to feel comfortable while sharing intimate words with each other.

Formal photos at the Lageret

This group was ready to have a good time! It was extra fun for me because I knew a handful of the bridal party. The Lageret has some beautiful spots in the heart of downtown Stoughton for photos, although the sun made it a little difficult to get the group together due to lighting. We made it work and the bridal party were the best hype team through it all! I thought it was so fun that Bret and Rachel were able to bring their pup Willow to be a part of the Bridal party as well, she was such a good girl and looked so cute in her bow tie.
I took Bret and Rachel around the building to some old structures with lots of beautiful exposed brick for their formal couples portraits. We also used a leather chair in the lower level of the venue for some more romantic poses.

I do

Short, sweet and intimate are the words I would use to describe Bret and Rachels ceremony. Tears were shed and laughs were had. They had their ceremony in the very upper story of the Lageret with beautiful window light shining on them as they said "I do". Rachel's father officiated the ceremony which made it all the more special.
Let's party!!

This group was ready for some fun! Cocktails were flowing, games were being played and of course the dance floor was hoppin. Bret and Rachel shared their first dance and then had their parent dances.
